I started learning about audio circuit design in 2020. Like most of us during the pandemic, I was filling time with every hobby I could justify the time and investment in. The idea of creating a guitar pedal combined two of my favorite things; music and making stuff. I don’t claim to be an innovator in the field. I certainly do not have an in-depth knowledge of every aspect of circuit design and its effect on tone. What I can say is that I know what I like, and I pour a ton of energy, attention and passion into everything I do.
My pedals are small batch and handmade by me at my home in Memphis, TN with design help from my incredibly talented wife and love of my life. I don’t aspire to grow Neffects Audio into a massive business or huge name in the industry. I only hope to provide people with something that I love and would want to share with others who will hopefully find enjoyment in and creativity from.
If I’m lucky enough for you to own something I’ve made and create something from that, then I will have achieved everything I set out to do with this project.
